HIDDEN VALE (that is, Ether and Tootkin, us) wants to do as little as possible with your data.
Nevertheless, we do sometimes collect and process data in order to conduct our business (sell our products) or communicate with you.
This privacy policy will explain what data we collect and store when you interact with our website and services.

Data we collect directly
In plain language, the only data we collect ourselves is the one you directly give us, such as your name and e-mail address when you contact us through our contact form or sign-up to our newsletter. We only collect this data in order to either send you the newsletter you've signed up for, answer your e-mail, or for record-keeping.
You may, at any time and free of charge, request that we delete, correct or provide you with a copy of the data we have stored about you by using our contact form.
You are welcome to unsubscribe any time from the newsletter by the link at the bottom of each e-mail. You can also contact us and request to be unsubscribed directly. We do not keep records of who subscribed or unsubscribed from the newsletter.
Data collected by third-party partners
Our third-party partners, such as the itch.io platform where we sell our digital wares, may collect data from you.
While we do our best to select partners which respect your privacy, we greatly encourage to read their respective privacy polices as well.

Erasure of data and storage period
We are legally required to keep book-keeping records for ten years.
If you have contacted us through our contact form and we have engaged in correspondence, we will keep records of this correspondence for five years or your request for deletion, whichever comes first.
We keep our records in several back-ups, including in France and in the Netherlands.
Cookies
We do not use cookies or other forms of tracking on our website.
Legal grounds for the processing of your personal data
Processing of your personal data is conducted on the following legal grounds:
- Consent - when you directly email us or sign-up for the newsletter,
- Contractual performance or pre-contractual measures - if you have purchased something from us on itch.io and there's an issue with your purchase, we might need your data to help you out
- Legal obligations - such as an obligation to justify of our income.

Changes to this policy
Changes to this policy may occur due to change in our services or the law. As long as we have your e-mail address, we will let you know.
